Season Format

Competition for the 2023 VEN1 is separated into 2 Phases: Regular season and Playoffs. In Phase 1, each VEN1 team then plays Home-Away matches against the other 15 teams for 28 league matches per team. The top 4 Phase 1 teams advance to the COPALIB Playoffs, and the 5th through 8th place teams advance to the COPASUD Playoffs. In each Playoff, teams plays Home-Away matches with the other teams in their group. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, then (2) goals scored.

Relegation

At the end of the 2023 VEN1 Phase 1, the 15th place team will be enter into a promotion/relegation playoff with a VEN2 team.
