The winner of the 2026 Svenska Cupen (Swedish Cup), typically a SWE1 team, also receives a berth in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the 2027 - 2028 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Season Format
Each SWE1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 15 SWE1 teams for a total of 30 league matches per team. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored, (3) head-to-head points, (4) head-to-head goal difference, (5) head-to-head away goals scored, then (6) a playoff.
Playoffs
Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2026 season, the 15th and 16th place SWE1 teams will be relegated to the SWE2, and the 1st and 2nd place SWE2 teams will be promoted to the 2027 SWE1. The 14th place SWE1 team will enter into a Home-Away highest aggregate hoals wins Promotion/Relegation Playoff with the 3rd place SWE2 team. The winner will play in the 2027 SWE1 and the loser will play in the SWE2.
