Season Format
The 2026-2027 EGY1 season consist of 2 phases. In the 1st Phase, each EGY1 team plays the other 20 EGY1 teams once. In the 2nd Phase, the top 7 teams play each other once (26 total matches per team) in the Championship Playoffs), and the bottom 14 1st Phase teams play each other once (34 total matches per team) in the Relegation Playoffs). 1st Phase table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, then (2) goals scored. 2nd Phase table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored, then (3) a playoff.

At the end of the 2026-2027 EGY1 season, the 12th, 13th and 14th place EGY1 Relegation Playoffs teams will be relegated to the EGY2.
