Season Format
Each POR1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 17 POR1 teams for a total of 34 league matches. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) goal difference, (4) league matches won, (5) goals scored, then (6) a playoff.
Playoffs
Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2025-2026 POR1 season, the 17th and 18th place POR1 teams will be relegated to the POR2, and the best and 2nd best POR2 teams eligible for promotion will be promoted to the 2026-2027 POR1. The 16th place POR1 team will enter into a Promotion/Relegation playoff with the 3rd place POR2 team. The playoff winner plays in the 2026-2027 POR1.
