Summary

The Egyptian Premier League (EGY1) is the top football league in Egypt's football system. At the end of the 2025-2026 EGY1 season, the EGY1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:

2027 CAF Champions League:
- 1st and 2nd place 2025-2026 EGY1 teams
2027 CAF Confederation Cup:
- 3rd and 4th place 2025-2026 EGY1 teams

The winner of the 2025-2026 Egypt Cup, typically an EGY1 team, also receives a berth in the 2027 CAF Confederation Cup.

Season Format

The 2025-2026 EGY1 season consist of 2 phases. In the 1st Phase, each EGY1 team plays the other 20 EGY1 teams once. In the 2nd Phase, the top 7 teams play each other once (26 total matches per team) in the Championship Playoffs), and the bottom 14 1st Phase teams play each other once (34 total matches per team) in the Relegation Playoffs). 1st Phase table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, then (2) goals scored. 2nd Phase table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored, then (3) a playoff.

Relegation

At the end of the 2025-2026 EGY1 season, the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th place EGY1 Relegation Playoffs teams will be relegated to the EGY2.
