The V.League 1 (VIE1), also known as the 2023-2024 Night Wolf V.League 1, is the top football league in the Vietnam football system. At the end of the 2023-2024 VIE1 season, the VIE1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:

2024-2025 AFC Champions League 2 - Group Stage:
- 1st place 2023-2024 VIE1 team
2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship:
- 2nd and 3rd place 2023-2024 VIE1 teams

The winner of the 2023-2024 Vietnamese Cup, typically an VIE1 team, also receives a berth in the Playoff Round of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League 2.

Season Format

During the 2023-2024 VIE1 regular season, each VIE1 team plays Home-Away matches against the other 13 VIE1 teams for a total of 26 league matches per team. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) head-to-head points, (3) goals scored, (4) away goals scored, then (5) Fairplay ranking.

Relegation

At the end of the 2023-2024 Regular season, the 14th place VIE1 Relegation Group team will be relegated directly to VIE2, and the 13th place team will have a Promotion/Relegation playoff with the 2nd place VIE2 team.
