- 1st and 2nd place 2019-2020 EGY1 teams
- 2021 CAF Confederation Cup:
- 3rd place 2019-2020 EGY1 team
The winner of the 2019-2020 Egypt Cup, typically an EGY1 team, also receives a berth in the 2021 CAF Confederation Cup.

Season Format
Each EGY1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 17 EGY1 teams for a total of 34 league matches. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) head-to-head goals scored, (4) head-to-head away goals scored, (5) goal difference, then (6) goals scored.
Playoffs
Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2019-2020 EGY1 season, the 16th, 17th, and 18th place EGY1 teams will be relegated to the EGY2, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place EGY2 teams will be promoted to the 2020-2021 EGY1.
