Summary
The Indian Super League (IND1) was founded in 2013 and is now the top league in the India's football league system. At the end of the 2024-2025 IND1 season, the IND1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:
- 2026 AFC Champions League 2 Group Stage:
- 1st place 2024-2025 IND1 team
The winner of the 2025 Indian Super Cup, potentially an IND1 team, also receives a berth in the Playoff Stage of the 2026 AFC Champions League 2.

Season Format
Each IND1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 12 IND1 teams for a total of 24 league matches per team. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) head-to-head goals scored, (4) goal difference, (5) total goals scored, (6) Fairplay ranking, then (7) a drawing.
Playoffs
At the end of the 2024-2025 IND1 Regular season, the teams ranked 3rd-6th enter into the Home-Away highest aggregate score wins Championship Quarterfinals (3rd vs. 6th, 4th vs. 5th). The Quarterfinals winners play Home-Away highest aggregate score wins Semifinals. The Semfinals winners then play in a one match Championship Final.
Relegation
At the end of the 2024-2025 IND1 season, there will be neither promotion or relegation.
