Summary

The 2020 Copa América (COPAMERICA) will be hosted by Argentina and Columbia and will run from 12 June 2020 to 12 July 2020 (concurrent with the 2020 UEFA Euros). After 2020, the Copa America will be held every 4 years. Brazil won the 2019 COPAMERICA. The final will be held at Estadio Metropolitana (Barranquilla, Colombia) on 12 July 2020.

Group Stage table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored, (3) points obtained in matches amongst tied teams, (4) goal difference amongst tied teams, (5) goals scored in matches amongst tied teams, then (6) a drawing. For all "Knockout" matches except for the Final, matches that are tied after regulation time go directly to a penalty shoot-out. In the Final, if still tied after regulation time, extra time (two 15-minute periods) is played. If still tied, the finalists go to a penalty shoot-out.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Copa América was postponed until 11 June 2021 and was renamed the 2021 Copa América.
