The Armenian Premier League (ARM1) is the top football league competition in Aremnia. At the end of the 2020-2021 ARM1 season, the ARM1 teams listed below qualify for the following 2021-2022 non-league play:

- 1st place 2020-2021 ARM1 team
- 2021-2022 UEFA Europa Conference League - 1st Qualifying Round:
- 2nd and 3rd place 2020-2021 ARM1 teams
The winner of the 2020-2021 Armenian Cup, typically an ARM1 team, also receives a berth in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 2021-2022 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Season Format
In the ARM1 season, each ARM1 team plays the other 9 ARM1 teams 3 times for 27 league matches per team. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) playoff (only if deciding season champion), (2) matches won, (3) head-to-head points, (4) head-to-head matches won, (5) head-to-head goal difference, (6) head-to-head goals scored, (7) head-to-head away goals scored, (8) goal difference, then (9) total goals scored.

Relegation
At the end of the 2020-2021 ARM1 season, the 10th place team is relegated to the ARM2, and the 9th place team enters into a Promotion/Relegation playoff with the 2nd place ARM2 team.
